- Hitcher, The (1986)
- Almost without plot or dialogue, this silly movie is very boring. Tom Howell can't act; his hysteria is more convincing that his supposed fear. If you enjoy old police cars bursting into flames you might enjoy parts of the movie! Avoid.
- Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994)
- Very stylish, as you'd expect from Altman & Rudolph. A very likeable & amusing film that never flags. Parallels café culture in Paris in the same era. Many lovely touches. Fabulously witty & highly recommended!
- Three Colours: Blue (1993)
- Very complex and intense – a work of art. Binoche is magnificent. She carries it all. A classic!
- Jindabyne (2006)
- Memorable. Top Australian drama!
- Ill Met By Moonlight (1957)
- The true account of famous writer Patrick Leigh Fermor's experiences in Crete during WW2.
- Emily (2022)
- Worthwhile but despite Mackey's glamour, lacked conviction.
- DVD $29.95
- Amateur (1995)
- Very abstract – not funny in the usual sense, but deeply amusing without being profound. Not as funny as some of Hartley's other films. The film is carried by great acting from Huppert and Lowensohn & the commentary by Huppert is interesting.
- Poster (F) $9.95
- Three Dollars (2005)
- Could do with SDH. Terrific camerawork; very realistic. Distinct style vs. UK, US & French films. Intelligent, with much more edge than you might expect in this genre. A surreal urban tragedy. Author Perlman's commentary is the most interesting.
- DVD $29.95
- Happiest Season (2020)
- SDF. Classic American relationship comedy – very funny. Very American, excellent, but a perfect spoof. Terribly funny, but with an edge. Very likeable characters! Good, in any season.
- Minari (2020)
- Lovely, initially quiet sensitive movie, but not for long! Wholesome, family–oriented entertainment. Set, in fact, in Oklahoma!
- DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
