Aroview: The makers of THE BANK construct another tale of financial insecurity and moral fortitude, with David Wenham returning to play a decent Australian bloke who struggles to meet his commitments with his job, family and mortgage.
At one stage finding himself with only three dollars to his name, this makes a poignant case for the vulnerability of the middle classes under contemporary capatilism. Though a little busy with back-stories that dilute the dramatic focus, this is a pertinent drama that mixes the political with a good measure of personal heart and soul.

4 stars (Very Good) Could do with SDH. Terrific camerawork; very realistic. Distinct style vs. UK, US & French films. Intelligent, with much more edge than you might expect in this genre. A surreal urban tragedy. Author Perlman's commentary is the most interesting. ~Anon
