Norman (2010): Doesn\'t maintain early promise. Richard Jenkins compulsory appearance in this type of film.
Shape of Things to Come, The (1979): The subdued colour filming was easy on the eyes.I thought its \"cheesiness\" was an attribute and contributed to its charm.
Maverick (1994): Enjoyable – it doesn\'t take itself seriously. Best scene for me was that featuring Graham Greene.
Viva Las Vegas (1964): The songs as presented don\'t amount to much. Ann–M tries hard with the dancing and singing. Light entertainment.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969): It doesn\'t take itself seriously which is good. Some beautiful location shooting which overpowers the story and characters but not to the detriment of the film.Good \"Making of\".; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
An Englishman in New York (2009): John Hurt is masterful in representing Quentin Crisp.; DVD $24.95
Freud (1962): Hard going – dry but sincere.
Made in Dagenham (2010): Great cast and props.Although Sally Hawkins excels there are great performances from old hands Bob Hoskins and Kenneth Cranham as unionist Monty Taylor.
Warrior's Way, The (2010): Bit different but not helped by distasteful violence. Ordinary violence would have done the job.
Lawless (2012): Boring characters – routine story.
