Children, The (2008): Good atmospherics. Unrelenting once the action starts.
Godzilla (1998): Its strongest point is that the film doesn\'t take itself too seriously therefore Matthew Broderick is well cast.Go Godzilla & the baby Godzillas!
Cold Creek Manor (2003): Owes a debt to \"Straw Dogs\".Mike Figgis has done much better but worth watching because Juliette Lewis is terrific as usual.
Restless (TV Mini-Series) (2012): Strong performances from Hayley Atwell and Charlotte Rampling. The period is well depicted.
Act of Killing, The (2012): Its too long but full credit to the film makers for appealing to the egos of the criminals that enabled their story to be told.
Body Of Lies (2008): DiCaprio looks out of place but Mark Strong who should look out of place doesn\'t.Crowe does a Joe Don Baker/John Goodman impression.The plot is confusing with too many foreign characters involved.
Oz the Great and Powerful (2013): The characters don\'t rate too highly but the art design and effects are very good.
Grey, The (2011): Genuine thriller. Liam is perfectly cast as a leader in a situation not of his making. Must have been a tough film to make on location.
Welcome to the Punch (2013): They should have done a lot better with such a strong cast. A low point was a slow motion shoot out.
For a Good Time, Call… (2012): Its all been done before and without the grubbiness.
