From Paris With Love (2010): As far as action movies go this is excellent – otherwise it is formalistic.

All Quiet on the Western Front (1979): The battle scenes are believable. Ernest Borgnine is terrific as is an excellent support cast.
Devil's Own, The (1997): A dead offering – fails to hold attention.
Man from Beijing, The (2011): Not a particularly strong plot and not aided by contrived situations.
Speed Racer (2008): Garish colours at times.Far too long even with the classy support cast.Bit of a mixed offering.
Trance (2013): Failed to hold attention. I was surprised when I saw who the Director was.
Murphy's War (1971): Too long but excellent action and a great cast.
Silver Linings Playbook (2012): A talkie and a loud one at that.
This is the End (2013): The comedy would be lost without the f word.
