Nine
Aroview: A stonkingly glamorous screen musical based on FELLINI'S 8 1/2, with famous film auteur Guido Contini struggling to realize his cinematic masterpiece while maintaining his relationships with the many women in his life.
Adapted from the stage show, it's proudly post-modern but realized in the traditional musical style by the director of CHICAGO, whose control of the form is again in supreme evidence, and worthy of razzle-dazzle king, Bob Fosse. Daniel Day Lewis can't sing, but he has exactly what it takes to convey both Fellini's intellect with film-star Marcello Mastroianni's charisma, and he's surrounded by a formidable cast as the seven (fantasized) icons of womanhood.
Passionately dividing critics and audiences, it is admittedly stronger visually than musically, but fashionistas and Italia-philes will probably agree with us: Nine out of Ten!

2 stars (Good Try) The whole thing feels claustrophobic and shut in by it's stagey origins and, a far worse crime for a musical, the songs just aren't very memorable. ~The Myrka
3 stars (Good Enough) The dancing is the only saving grace for this musical.I couldn't bring myself to give any movie starring Daniel D two * ~Tubbs
