Shanghai Knights (2003): Some good moments from Jackie Chan – unfortunately Wilson's nose protrudes into the proceedings.
It's a Great Feeling (1949): A Warner Bros. shop window – comes across as pretentious today.
I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009): Try and get through the opening scene – it can only get better – hard to dislike.
Cuban Fury (2014): Not breaking any new ground but enjoyable and inoffensive.
Armageddon (1998): There is no urgency to the early scenes – which is commendable considering the risk to the Earth – time for romance – then the special effects (very good) take over.Acting talents of Buscemi,Thornton,Patton not required.
Lake House, The (2006): If there is no story then it would be advisable to have characters who are at the least interesting.
Takedown: The DNA of GSP (2014): Has to make a living somehow I suppose.
Eastern Promises (2007): Viggo struggles a bit in this one, Vincent does a reasonable job as an arse hole but the acting honours go to Armin Mueller–Stahl. He is very convincing in his role. The other winner is the choice of some seedy locations.
Pacific Rim (2013): I couldn't imagine the end of the Earth taking 131 mins. Some of the "Blade Runner" type set designs were okay but the action scenes just got more boring and noisier.
Blue Caprice (2013): Intelligent.The dark atmosphere is assisted by the musical score.
