Red Eye (2005)
Not the strongest of plots. You wouldn't allow anyone that looks like Murphy on the plane in the first place.
Smokey and the Bandit (1977)
Some good stunt driving – Jackie Gleason is good but takes a hammering.
Lost in Space (1998)
Not that bad on Blu–Ray – watchable.
Rocketeer, The (1991)
Lot of fun and inoffensive. Great supporting cast.
August: Osage County (2013)
Top acting – Julia Roberts has never been better – the males do well to get noticed. Margo Martindale and my favourite Juliette Lewis do a bit of scene stealing.
Night at the Museum (2006)
A good idea – Stiller is not too bad in this one but don't bother with the human characters – wait for the animals and other things to come alive.
Drinking Buddies (2013)
I didn't realise the actors were improvising their dialogue (Aroview) while watching – well done everyone involved for being a bit different.
Closed Circuit (2013)
I couldn't follow the plot – will watch again – has to be good with this cast.
Ali (2001)
Unnecessary dramatisation of well documented events. As with "The Wrestler" the best bits are a look behind the scenes at the nuts and bolts of preparing for an event.
Hobbit, The - The Desolation of Smaug (2013)
Although episode 2 is as boring as the first – full marks to the make up department and set designers.
