Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)
Not a true rendition of the timeless tale but very entertaining – Burton is one of the producers and it shows – great special effects, a busy make–up department and use of garish colours. Mia a good link point for Depp and Helena to do their thing.
Greyfriars Bobby (1960)
A solid story but the highlight for me are the period shooting locations.
Thelma and Louise (1990)
Big Daddy (1999)
The "comedy" material is juvenile at times. The only real highlight is Steve Buscemi.
Bigamist, The (1953)
A very good cast and performances but Edmond O'Brien doesn't come across as the romantic type to me.
Big Red (1962)
This kind of family drama Disney does so well. Some good animal training is evident.
Grudge, The (2004)
I hadn't watched the original (2003) in quite a while so this was fresh. There are some genuinely scary moments even when they are signaled ahead and expected.
Swiss Army Man (2016)
It has a commendably original screenplay and an interesting soundtrack and for these positives it is well worth a try.
Transporter 3, The (2008)
Jason Statham makes these outings watchable – he's not the typical brain dead action star. Some good stunt work helps as well.
Doll & Em (TV Series) (2014)
A mild comedy – the two lead characters are pleasant enough and inoffensive.
