It drags at times but it is well worth taking the journey. Some of the backdrops are depressing but are authentic. You end up not knowing anything in depth about the 2 characters but the film is long enough to see their relationship develop.
Restaurants and their kitchens have been thrashed to death but this screenplay does offer a slightly different slant. Danny Aiello is always worth your time.
Denzel and Viola are fine as expected. The play adaptation is heavy on dialogue and at times you are bombarded with it giving you no time to digest what they are saying. The set designs and wardrobe are spot on.
