All Governments Lie (All Governments Lie: Truth, Deception and the Spirit of I. F. Stone) (2016)
I am now reading more of I. F. Stone.
Becoming Jane (2007)
As expected the props and wardrobe are spot on. There is cream in the supporting cast headed by Maggie Smith and Ian Richardson.
Lars and the Real Girl (2007)
It might have been okay as a short film but this wears out its welcome after half an hour. There is a very good cast who all must have read the screenplay before taking it on which is the surprising thing for me.
Philadelphia Experiment, The (1984)
It is not great but it might encourage further reading into claims that this event really happened.
Expendables, The (2010)
The first half of the film is spent rounding up the cast from their rest homes.
Bee Gees - One Night Only (1997)
The three brothers are interviewed in a bonus feature plus the concert is not too bad.
Civil Action, A (1999)
Travolta is not too bad in this one and there is a very talented support cast. The book on which it is based is I believe better than the screenplay.
St. Elmo's Fire (1985)
The male kids just get tiresome.
Mulholland Falls (1996)
4 grown men dressed alike continually travelling around together just looks sillier and sillier. There is not a great deal to the screenplay but the set designs, props and wardrobe are spot on.
Brimstone (2016)
Dakota since her childhood has always had a good screen presence and its really the saving grace here. The screenplay tries a bit too hard to shock and is too long.
