Girlfight (2000): It precedes 'Million Dollar Baby" (2004). Michelle Rodriguez is worth watching but the screenplay is on the predictable side.
Blood Simple (1984): Suspenseful from go to whoa particularly when the great Emmet Walsh is on camera.rnrn
Million Dollar Baby (2004): The fight choreography is excellent if not too realistic at times. Hilary Swank could be the real thing – it would be good to see her matched against Michelle Rodriguez. The pathos is milked out of the post boxing scenes and goes on far too long.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001): A silent Jay would have helped.; DVD $39.95
Iron Man (2008): Above average for the genre especially in the set up early scenes. There is some intelligence in the screenplay and in the lead performance.; DVD ~~$15~~ $11.25
Nightbreed (1989): A passable screenplay but it is the make–up and noise departments that are called upon most.
Labyrinth (1986): It has some interesting set designs and a film involving Henson, Bowie and Terry Jones could never be boring. Well done also to a young Jennifer Connelly.
Country Strong (2010): The forgettable screenplay needed more memorable music.
Beauty and the Beast (2017): As a musical, it doesn't amount to much but there are some good special effects.
Rocky II (1979): Not as crappy as the countless other Rocky sequels that follow this sequel.
