Bruce Springsteen - The Promise (The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town) (2010)
It is interesting behind the scenes action of the making of an album and other goings–on.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
Firth, Moore, Strong and the special effects are all fine and the screenplay has some good segments but the whole thing takes all day.
Wackness, The (2008)
It didn't work as well when Kingsley wasn't on camera and it could have done more with Famke Janssen and Jane Adams who were underused. The soundtrack was good.
Subway (1985)
After a great opening sequence, it is slowly downhill for the screenplay but there is always some interest generated by the subway shooting location.
Please Stand By (2017)
It avoids the sentimental potholes. Dakota gets it just right and has two very good actresses in support.
Loved Ones, The (2009)
The early screenplay is very promising but then it changes audiences. What could have been a good black comedy degenerates into a straight horror although parts are still watchable thanks to Robin McLeavy's performance.
Dirty Three, The (2007)
Spotify here I come.
Paul Kelly: Stories of Me (2012)
A relatively low key documentary on this multi–talented musician.
Broadway Idiot (2013)
Most of the documentary takes place behind the scenes but there are snatches of some good performances.
A Band Called Death (2012)
I don't think I've seen a happier group of musicians – a laugh is just around the corner.
