Girl in the Park, The (2007)
Weaver, Bosworth, and Russell all have talent but this project just doesn't work.
Breakfast on Pluto (2005)
Although it runs out of a bit of steam the screenplay is fresh and includes many surreal segments that are done very well. Top Irish casting with a terrific soundtrack.
Sense and Sensibility (1995)
Except for the slightly bizarre casting of Grant, there is acting talent to burn – even in the smallest parts. Thompson, Winslet, and Rickman are at the top of their game. The set designs and wardrobe are excellent.
Deadpool 2 (2018)
It tries hard to be funny mainly by spoofing other films in the genre but it is far too long for the material on offer.
On Chesil Beach (2017)
The period set designs and wardrobe were spot on. Excellent performances from Anne–Marie Duff and Saoirse Ronan raise this above the normal for a romantic based screenplay.
Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, The (2005)
The first hour is very good but the screenplay gradually treads water after that. Some excellent location shooting helps.
American Animals (2018)
The acting of the main protagonists ranges from pretty bad to ordinary.- DVD
$29.95 $15, $29.95
Love Bug, The (1969)
An excellent family comedy idea.
Christopher Robin (2018)
I thought McGregor struggled a bit – he could have had a similar experience to Bob Hoskins in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" – but the rest was very well done.
20,000 Days on Earth (2014)
Its style is distinctive and for the most part, entertaining with some good music thrown in to boot.- Blu-Ray $34.95
