Aroview: It all started here - The Jane Austen Revival, in a witty and engaging take on this classic tale of two sisters, one practical (Emma Thompson), the other romantic (Kate Winslet). That Ms. Thompson's script chose to instil the text with a 1990s sensibility made Oscar-winning sense.

		- 4 stars (Very Good) Beautifully mounted (interiors by Vermeer?) and a wonderful cast. The way careless words evoke a symphony of hurt on Thompson's face: stunning. It's worth watching the film just for her performance. ~HiFi
- 4 stars (Very Good) Except for the slightly bizarre casting of Grant, there is acting talent to burn - even in the smallest parts. Thompson, Winslet, and Rickman are at the top of their game. The set designs and wardrobe are excellent. ~Tubbs
