Generation Wealth (2018): The documentary didn't hold its focus at times – perhaps it took on too broad a subject. Although some of the characters could be laughed off, afterward, I needed a hit of Ken Loach and Mike Leigh.
Barbershop 2 (Back in Business) (2004): There are periods when all the cast is talking at once so there is some energy to it but the material doesn't really have the staying power.
Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018): Not quite as good as the original but it has some very good segments.
Broken Shore, The (2013): Don Hany is well cast and is believable in the lead character. The screenplay is well written.
Magic Mike (2012): A good try but it is too long for the material on offer and its novelty soon wears thin.
Deep End of the Ocean, The (1999): The screenplay is a mix of dreariness and dramatics and not that interesting overall.
Children Act, The (2017): The screenplay is a bit disappointing but Emma is worth watching.
Lean on Pete (2017): Competently made and for the most part it avoids the traps.
Tehran Taxi (2015): Some segments are more interesting than others but overall, considering the conditions under which the film was made, a worthy achievement.
Naked Gun 33 1/3 : The Final Insult (1994): The comedy has the right pace – you haven't time to dwell on the silliness because it has moved on and you have forgotten what you have just seen. My bet is that the series will still be watchable for years to come.
