Slaughterhouse RulezSlaughterhouse Rulez (2018)
2 stars (Good Try) It doesn't amount to much even with Pegg and a bit of Frost. It has all been done before.
Ghost StoriesGhost Stories (2017)Aro Favourite
2 stars (Good Try) They failed to hold the attention.
La Dolce VitaLa Dolce Vita (1960)Recommended
3 stars (Good Enough) It is very long but it is shot in easy on the eye beautiful black and white which helps. Whilst some of the scenes have dated 60 years on its overall cynicism of the full–time party people will endure.
SlitherSlither (2006)
4 stars (Very Good) The special effects, artwork, and makeup were top rate. The balance between horror and comedy is spot on so slither on down to your nearest video store and rent it.
ProspectProspect (2018)Recommended
3 stars (Good Enough) You really felt for our young heroine left alone on a strange planet. If the film had plot holes I really didn't care as it didn't follow any beaten path. I also liked the cheap homemade look of the space ship & the well worn spacesuits & equipment.
Very Good GirlsVery Good Girls (2013)
2 stars (Good Try) The early scenes between the two girls are good but once the young male character is more involved the screenplay gets predictable and even though Dakota is always watchable everything starts to drag.
Hours, TheHours, The (2002)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) The casting of the three leads is strong with equal strength in the support of Richardson, Harris, and Dillane. The Victorian props are spot on, the make–up people deserve a commendation and the musical score is in the excellent hands of Philip Glass.
Heaven Can WaitHeaven Can Wait (1978)
3 stars (Good Enough) There are some capable character actors in the supporting roles that do justice to the fine comedic segments of the rehashed plot idea.
Sisters Brothers, TheSisters Brothers, The (2018)Aro Favourite
2 stars (Good Try) Throughout, the production values, especially the photography, are excellent. However, although it has some good segments it doesn't need the two hour running time and would have been better served with a more compact screenplay.
ChopperChopper (2000)Recommended
3 stars (Good Enough) The storytelling is entertaining if that description is able to be used about the subject matter.
