Slither
Aroview: The small American town of Wheelsy is visited by a slithery space squid, which sends a variety of parasitic slugs out to invade the bodies of the unassuming populace, who are then transformed into zombie-like helpers in service of the greater conquest.
It's a big-budget B-movie parody that boasts an expert knowledge of the horror-comedy genre, striking a balance between eye-popping gore (and slime) and smile-inducing dialogue, with brisk, then frantic pacing as the invasion proceeds. Dir. Gunn cut his teeth as a writer at TROMA before graduating as scribe of the successful DAWN OF THE DEAD remake.

3 stars (Good Enough) I thought the horror elements to this film were gross out to hell and back. So many out loud "eww" moments. The practical effects were great. That bath scene was excellent, gore was done very well. ~Biggie
4 stars (Very Good) The special effects, artwork, and makeup were top rate. The balance between horror and comedy is spot on so slither on down to your nearest video store and rent it. ~Tubbs
