Defector, The

Aroview: Thriller about an American physicist who is blackmailed by the CIA into travelling to East Germany, where he must acquire a microfilm from a defecting Soviet scientist. A somewhat doleful film, made more so in hindsight with the knowledge that star Montgomery Clift and director Raoul Levy both suffered untimely deaths very soon after production finished.
