Macthella’s Film Reviews
About me: Subscribe only to Rialto movies not the sky Movies.
Subtle english comedy is preferred over slapstick although saying that 'Ruthless People' had a very clever script when you analysed the plot.
Fish called Wanda ans A Private Function rate very highly.

- Brighton Beach Memoirs (1986)
- Delightful movie well worth the effort of watching
- Razzle Dazzle (2007)
- My granddaughters love this movie, and the 14 year old laughs out loud. A tongue in cheek Australian gem that I originally discovered on Rialto channel. Magic.

- Leon The Professional, The (Professional, The) (1994)
- Natalie Portmans first big movie and she hasnt looked back since. Jean Reno exceptional as always and Gary Oldman as the off the wall creepy corrupt cop. Brilliant cast, superb movie.
- Sixth Sense, The (1999)
- Great movie. got lost in it and therefore was surprised along with many others at the end. Osment deserved an Oscar for this performance. Willis was wonderfully understated.
- Signs (2002)
- Definitely not as good as Sixth Sense. whole premise was flawed. Aliens who are allergic to water attack a planet that is saturated with it. huge holes in the theological reasoning as well.
- Les Visiteurs (Visitors, The) (1993)
- Favourite foreign language movie. Jean Reno in a comic role is magic. Well worth watching
- Wondrous Oblivion (2003)
- Charming story, showing how hard it must have been for those first jamaican immigrants starting a new life in suburban England. But it is the cricket theme that holds this together and even for a non cricket fan.
- Moonstruck (1987)
- Really love this film, despite the strange rant from Nicholas Cage as he enters the story. There are little side cameos for many of the characters that are absolutely enchanting.
- Ruthless People (1986)
- This is a sleeper and probably much underated. Very funny, very clever plot. Bill Pulmans cameo is great as the bimbo gigalo.
- Magic Roundabout (TV Series) (2007)
- Havent seen this one but the movie that came out in 2005 was pure kidult gold. Check it out on IMDB. Voices of Tom Baker, Ian McKellen, Jim Broadbent, Joanna Lumley, Robbie Williams and a wasted Bill Nighy. Magic is right. Can only get it on region 2.
- DVD $19.95, $19.95, $24.95
