Town, The (TV Mini-Series) (2012): Unconvincing plot. Has all the ingredients but not great.
Fall, The - Series 1 (TV Series) (2013): Gripping; DVD $29.95
Criminal Justice (TV Series) (2008-2009): Good but not as good as \'The Jury\' or \'Five Days\' – as both have more original elements than \'Criminal justice\'. Ben Whishaw deserves an Oscar.
Jury, The (The Jury 2) (2011): Excellent, fresh and multi–layered Brit drama– recommended.
Dead Zone, The (1983): Well made thriller –gripping until the end.
A History of Violence (2005): Gripping and satisfying. Highly recommended.
Orator, The (O le tulafale) (2011): Fascinating, powerful and memorable, amazingly good. It draws you in, in unexpected ways, and is an incredible insight into our pacific neighbours.
Mademoiselle Chambon (2009): So understated and subtle, I loved it. Very real and convincing.
White Ribbon, The (Das weisse Band) (2009): Utter masterpiece, excellent second time as well
Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The (Le Scaphandre et Le Papillon) (2007): riveting; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Camino (2008): stunning
Death in Venice (1971): masterpiece
