Farewell to the Night (L'adieu à la nuit) (2019): Catherine coasts her way through this. When we were young we used to get rid of our extra energy and frustrations by playing cowboys and Indians and then sport.
My Big Gay Italian Wedding (2018): Undemanding and inoffensive and light.; DVD $29.95
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (2006): Thanks to some great characters it is very entertaining.
Lucky Grandma (2019): Tsai Chin's character is refreshing and it distinguishes this from other capers.
Palo Alto (2013): Little exciting happens which lends a certain authenticity to the proceedings.
Sniper (1992): Mildly exciting actioner with the jungle setting making a change to the normal urban sniper locations. Firing slow motion bullets draws out the tension.
Peanut Butter Falcon, The (2019): Okay but forgettable – a good soundtrack though.
Scarlet Street (1945): Solidly made. The durable Edward G plays an out of character role and gives way for once to a stronger character in Dan Duryea.
Underwater (2020): There is little new in the plot. Another example of Kristen playing a strong female character and doing it well.
House On Haunted Hill (1958): I had watched Vincent Price for years before I learned he was American & not British – Never really forgiven him for that. The only one to give him a run for his money in this cast was Elisha Cook Jr. who gave a worthwhile performance as the neurotic.; DVD ~~$15~~ $11.25
