Laurence Anyways (2012): I couldn't stay with the characters for the long running time but the film still continued to offer some excellent segments. The look of the film – design and art work plus the wardrobe/makeup ensured there was always something to arrest the eye.; DVD $29.95
Gods and Generals (2002): A bit of a battle.
Miles Davis Story, The (2001): Very informative through a good selection of interviewees and archival film.
Past Lives (2023): It is a relaxing watch. Thankfully the three main characters are not annoying.
Story of Ricky (Riki-Oh aka Lai Wong) (1991): The violence soon gets repetitive.
Joe Strummer - The Future is Unwritten (2007): A very well produced documentary with adequate time being devoted to both Strummer and to the band. It contains plenty of interviews and archival film.
Living (2022): Have you ever wondered what a London office in the 1950s looked like? Maybe not.
An Angel at My Table (1990): There is a smooth performance transition between the three Janet's. Alexia Keogh has my soft spot & the early scenes are the best. Kerry shows her range in coping with the bulk of the screenplay which has its odd lull in particular the Spanish segment.; DVD ~~$30~~ $20
Beauty Remains (Mei ren yi jiu) (2005): It has a very familiar screenplay.
Curious George (2006): The Jack Johnson soundtrack certainly helped.
