Guardian, The (1990): Enough originality to warrant a watch.
Death Warmed Up (1983): Good attempt to be scary.

People Like Us (TV Series) (1999): The humour derived from a strong script is not in your face which makes a nice change.
L'Amour Fou (2010): Hard to empathize with people who produce nothing useful and who belong to a circle that exchange wealth between themselves.
I Love You Too (2010): Weak script – lack of the usual Aussie characters.
Phasma Ex Machina (2010): Low key, different, effective suspense.
