Daughters of the Dust (1991): There seems to be little in the way of a normal conversation between the characters – more speechmaking. Beautifully photographed.
Harry and the Hendersons (1987): For the most part, it is a decent comedy despite the screaming kid.
Heat and Dust (1982): Very well produced but the screenplay is long and may need patience. Great soundtrack.
Ginger Snaps (2000): Familiar but a little bit better than a lot of other similar screenplays.
Cedar Boys (2009): Although it doesn't break new ground the screenplay commendably doesn't glamorise.
Evelyn (2002): A very interesting story with a more than useful cast. There is some melodrama but it is manageable.
Place in the Sun, A (1951): The plot idea is as old as the hills and although the screenplay is probably correctly paced for time and place it needs patience.
A Change of Seasons (1980): MacLaine and Hopkins wasted.
Battle of Shaker Heights, The (2003): Shia's character is a bit of a pain but the screenplay is not too bad.
Under the Skin (2013): An intriguing screenplay and a splendid performance from Scarlett.
