Big (1988): It isn't ageing too well.
Weight of Water, The (2000): Nothing wrong with the casting but even a storm at sea couldn't lift the lethargy.
Little Richard: I Am Everything (2023): I like his attitude to those that used his material and made themselves rich.; DVD $34.95
Tadpole (2002): A very light plot idea hardly seems worthwhile to film. Sigourney looks a bit embarrassed.
Quartet (1949): The strength of the writing is bettered only by the quality of the casting.
Rollerball (1975): The general screenplay has dated a bit but the Rollerball scenes still have an effect.
Message, The (Al-risalah Aka Mohammad, Messenger Of God) (1977): The action sequences are okay and not overdone but the total running time could be a challenge for a general viewing audience.
Shifty (2008): Its anti–drug message is enhanced because the characters are believable and there are no frills in the screenplay. Daniel Mays is compulsory viewing. The soundtrack is pretty good as well.
True Colours (1991): Hard to make this kind of character interesting I guess.
16 Years of Alcohol (2003): Made for the right reasons the screenplay veered between violence, and these segments got repetitive, and reform which lacked interest.
