Blood For Dust (2023): I think they made a genuine attempt to put some intelligence in the script to set it apart from the many others in the genre.; DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
End Of The Spear (2005): You end up getting the point.
Smart People (2008): A good female cast. A beard covers part of Quaid's smirk which helps.
Lean On Me (1989): One of a number of classroom dramas. Freeman yells at everyone from start to finish, others are yelling and it becomes a yellathon.
Flight of the Navigator (1986): The kid got a bit screechy at times but the screenplay is intelligent and entertaining.
Atanarjuat (The Fast Runner) (2001): The length of the screenplay requires patience, but if slow, is never boring, and there is the location to admire plus an interesting soundtrack.
Ladyhawke (1985): Forty years on it is not ageing too well, particularly for its lengthy running time.
Village, The (2004): A slow burner but not that suspenseful when all is said and done. There is a fine cast but not all of them are fully employed.
Up in Smoke (1978): Probably can't say it was like a breath of fresh air but it was enjoyable all the same.
Ballet Shoes (2007): Made for TV but it is BBC and is a good quality production. A strong story is handled well by a well chosen cast.
