King Solomon's Mines (1937): Solid – pretty close to being a true adaptation. Robeson sings.
Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure (2011): Different – but I can\'t escape the feeling that somebody got ripped off.; DVD $29.95
Death of a Superhero (2011): Thomas B–S does a good job but the scene stealing is the graphic art.
Killing, The (TV Series, US) (2011): Gave S1. away pretty early. Slugged through S3. but same problem – why is it so drawn out? Not for the viewers benefit – it borders on a soap at times – watch \"Shadow Line\" for gripping complex intensity.
Imposter, The (2012): Well put together as a doc–drama. Supported by a \"Behind the Scenes\" feature which helps.
Battlefield Earth (2000): The acting not up to much and story line a bit familiar but the visuals and make up make it entertaining.
Psych-Out (1968): Nicholson annoying but not to the extent of later years when he became too big for the screen. Compulsory casting of Stockwell and Dern.
Spiderwick Chronicles, The (2008): Male kids are annoying and all are noisy but the creatures and visuals make up for it.
Night of the Eagle (Burn, Witch, Burn) (1962): British horror from this period are very adapt at creating the right atmosphere.
Hobo with a Shotgun (2011): The cast seem to have enjoyed making it.
