Poseidon (2006): Acting requirements are nil.The Special Features on the Making Of etc. are more interesting.
Deep, The (1977): Underwater better than on land segments. Too long. Robert Shaw and Eli Wallach looking after the acting requirements. Great score from John Barry.
Safe (2012): The plot had promise but got lost in the endless machine gunning.
ABCs of Death, The (2012): Some of the subjects are unnecessarily grubby but as a rule they are well made.
Doors, The (1991): Much too long for Kilmer to hold this together although Meg Ryan does her best – a hard subject to dramatise in the first place and could have been left to the doco. makers.
Grave, The (1995): Much better than others of its type. Great southern soundtrack.
100 Feet (2008): Early promise but fails to maintain interest.
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel (2011): Another fashion doco.Interviewees are arse lickers – there are no dissenting voices.Its hard to get excited about this non essential industry.
Day of the Dead (1985): Romero is a leading artist when it comes to zombie movies.
