French Exit (2021): It failed to hold the attention. A bit more of Imogen would have helped.
Penguin Bloom (2020): It is hard to dislike thanks to Naomi's level headed performance and the magpie training people.
Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat, The (1974): Offbeat and has genuine cult status.
Escape Artist, The (TV Mini-Series) (2013): I didn't think the screenplay was always convincing but the production values and the casting made it worthwhile.
Happiest Season (2020): A pretty good cast – no surprises in the screenplay but a relaxing watch.
People Vs. Larry Flynt, The (1996): The director keeps the screenplay entertaining whilst still respecting the issues. Courtney Love and Woody Harrelson are excellent.
Goodbye Mr. Chips (1939): Very well written with Robert Donat providing the anchor but it is Greer Garson who lights up the screen.
Major Dundee (1965): Its chequered making is apparent at times but although overlong it never really gets boring thanks mainly to its above average character actors in supporting roles and the well handled action sequences.
Crimson Petal and the White, The (TV Mini-Series) (2011): The screenplay has its ups and downs but the set designs and other period details are impressive.; DVD $34.95
