Humpday (2009)
A yuppie talkie about the important things in life if you have time for that kind of thing in the first place.
Two-Lane Blacktop (1971)
Correctly paced. Oates as usual is terrific.
War of the Worlds, The (1954)
A must for anyone interested in Sci–fi. The artwork and set designs are impressive.
Chrysalis (2007)
Film makers have made an effort with the futuristic set designs – it is not a clone – even the many fight scenes fail to diminish the Sci–fi aspects.
Desperate Man Blues (2003)
Essential viewing for USA blues/roots music. The film in itself is an important archival record whereas Bussard\'s collection is priceless.
V for Vendetta (2005)
Natalie is a bit on the light side for this quality cast but as there are no great acting requirements she gets away with it. Hugo Weaving\'s mask is annoying – he doesn\'t really need one anyway. The bloodletting is amateurish.
Bruce Lee My Brother (2010)
Not essential viewing – there are perfectly good documentaries available.
Big Boss, The (Fists of Fury) (1971)
Might as well watch the master if Kung–Fu is on the agenda.
Blast of Silence (1961)
Shot in grey New York. Wonderful location shooting in Harlem etc. Lionel Stander contributes as a great narrator. Everything would suggest it should be depressing but it isn\'t.
Marion & Geoff (TV Series) (2003)
A different presentation to the normal.
