42 (2013): The baseball scenes are well enacted but the film falls into the usual dramatisation trap of over sentimentality aided by crappy string music.Alan Tudyk is good as the mouth.
Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, The) (1994): Aka \"Adventures of––\". Hugo Weaving gives another dependable performance but the prize casting is Stamp. The musical numbers and the costumes are well done.; DVD ~~$25~~ $18.75
Byzantium (2012): As with other Neil Jordan films – uneven.Its hard to maintain attention during the ordinary bits. A shorter film would have helped.
View to a Kill, A (1986): Not a strong Bond outing when compared to its predecessors & although too long still has some good stunt sequences and one liners.
Spider-Man (Spiderman) (2002): Enjoyable special effects and an excellent cameo from JK Simmons.
John Dies at the End (2012): Hard to follow but enjoyable – different.
Returned, The (TV Series) (Les Revenants) (2013): Classy – atmospheric.Treats the walking dead with respect.
Elysium (2013): Sets off with a reasonable sci–fi premise but as in a number of other similar films gets sidetracked into becoming an \"actioner\".
About Face: Supermodels, Then and Now (2012): Not as bad as it looks.
Streetcar Named Desire, A (1951): After an excellent opening outside location shot it becomes stagey and claustrophobic.An actors film.
