Last Metro, The (1980)
The story within the story extends the running time somewhat but the writing, casting, and the production values help you through.
Mystic River (2003)
Clint seems most comfortable with projects that run over two hours. Here is another one. A reasonable story and the best bits are when Bacon and Fishburne are working off each other.
It's Only Money (1962)
A solid comedy thanks mainly to a good cast with Jack Weston scene stealing.
Crows O (KurĂ´zu zero) (2007)
Try viewing it as a comedy and imagine that the director is taking the mickey out of the hysterics and posturing of the kids. Too long though as the action sequences have a similarity to them.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
A classic sci–fi tale competently brought to the screen.
Butterfly Lovers (2008)
Too many slow motion camera shots and females getting hit across the chops by hysterical males. The traditional music is nice though.
What Price Glory? (1952)
A funny animal in some ways. The soldiers behave like cowboys and the screenplay is a mixture of war, comedy, and music. Entertaining enough, however.
Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)
A good plot idea with a very good soundtrack. The first half of the screenplay is the best.
Persuasion (2007)
Sally saves script writers time with her facial expressions. Very well produced without going overboard.
Blood For Dust (2023)
I think they made a genuine attempt to put some intelligence in the script to set it apart from the many others in the genre.
