Killing Bono (2011): For the most part enjoyable with inoffensive characters. The plot does not extend to 114 mins however.Farewell Pete.
Grown Ups 2 (2013): Some of the skits were good but what was then required was some restraint in the grubbiness.
Reluctant Fundamentalist, The (2012): Too long – we didn't need the romantic subplot – an actors film – however it failed to hold attention.
Untouchables, The (1987): Excellent production values but there is little else once Connery departs.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Blood Work (2002): Travels at the Eastwood pace.
They Died With Their Boots On (1941): A history lesson it is not. Glorified and selective.
Sea Hawk, The (1940): Too long and suffers in comparison to Captain Blood. However the great Flora Robson adds class to the proceedings.
Captain Blood (1935): Enjoyable – Olivia de Havilland the perfect lead partner with Basil Rathbone the excellent adversary.
Hardware (1990): Its a frustrating watch – nothing is original and its very noisy but it still has some appeal.
Courage Under Fire (1996): Denzel unchallenged by the role – he must be the smartest actor in uniform. Meg just had to yell a lot. The ending was crap.
