Still MineStill Mine (2012)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Without the blaring of trumpets the film has a simple but worthy message. The performances of James Cromwell and Genevieve Bujold are top notch.
Off Hours, TheOff Hours, The (2011)
3 stars (Good Enough) A solid indie – a bit depressing but it creates an authentic atmosphere.
Iceman, TheIceman, The (2012)
2 stars (Good Try) You know what the victim's fate is so there is no suspense.
BloodBlood (2012)
2 stars (Good Try) Great cast with Brian Cox included as usual but the story doesn't really flow as well as it should.
Ray Donovan (TV Series)Ray Donovan (TV Series) (2013)Recommended
3 stars (Good Enough) Works best when old hands Elliot Gould and Jon Voight are centre stage. A good scenario and Liev Schreiber does well as the glue.
Olympus Has FallenOlympus Has Fallen (2013)
1 star (Turkey) Brainless story line which is a rehash of something else.
Happy TearsHappy Tears (2009)
3 stars (Good Enough) Interesting characters complimented by excellent casting.
LullabyLullaby (Lullaby for Pi) (2010)
3 stars (Good Enough) Although it doesn't quite work Clemence Poesy has definate appeal. The jazz played will not be to everyone's taste.
Lifeguard, TheLifeguard, The (2013)
2 stars (Good Try) Kristen Bell has some appeal but I don't know why they bothered.
Gatekeepers, TheGatekeepers, The (2012)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) A surprise – I expected right wing raving but most of these men were rational and perceptive.
