Still Mine (2012): Without the blaring of trumpets the film has a simple but worthy message. The performances of James Cromwell and Genevieve Bujold are top notch.
Off Hours, The (2011): A solid indie – a bit depressing but it creates an authentic atmosphere.
Iceman, The (2012): You know what the victim's fate is so there is no suspense.
Blood (2012): Great cast with Brian Cox included as usual but the story doesn't really flow as well as it should.
Ray Donovan (TV Series) (2013): Works best when old hands Elliot Gould and Jon Voight are centre stage. A good scenario and Liev Schreiber does well as the glue.
Olympus Has Fallen (2013): Brainless story line which is a rehash of something else.
Happy Tears (2009): Interesting characters complimented by excellent casting.
Lullaby (Lullaby for Pi) (2010): Although it doesn't quite work Clemence Poesy has definate appeal. The jazz played will not be to everyone's taste.
Lifeguard, The (2013): Kristen Bell has some appeal but I don't know why they bothered.
Gatekeepers, The (2012): A surprise – I expected right wing raving but most of these men were rational and perceptive.
