Forbidden Kingdom, The (2008): Strictly familiar territory – takes a well worn path.
Gambit (2012): Just watch Alan Rickman – he's worth the price of admission.
True Detective - Season 1 (TV Series) (2014): Fantastic theme song – totally appropriate and sets the right mood. McConaughey has the most interesting character but unfortunately doesn't enunciate his words very well.I will watch again with sub titles.
Bitch Slap (2009): Neither boring nor attention grabbing.
Hummingbird (Redemption) (2013): Jason shows he can carry a proper film with this performance but thats really the only point of interest.
Drift (2013): Low key in an Aussie kind of way – didn't need the romantic subplot.
Secret Of Moonacre, The (2008): Not only for kids – Tim Curry and Juliet Stevenson always worth a watch.
Details, The (2011): Too much yelling and screaming. I don't know why the talented Laura Linney is in this.
Admission (2013): Inoffensive cast – has the great Wallace Shawn.
Sinister (2012): Owes a debt to the Japanese horror school. Don't know why Hawke wanders around the house without switching the lights on. It would have helped him if he had cut down on the sauce. Some of the horror relies on loud and imposing music.
