Paranoia (2013): Other than Gary Oldman this is lightweight casting. Hemsworth can't carry the film.
Frequency (2000): This worthwhile idea could have been handled better – it ends up with no credibility at all.
Carrie (2013): Julianne is good as usual but I don't know why they bothered remaking.
Sweet Home Alabama (2002): The best "Oh My God" comedy. Its said with real gusto. Hard to dislike.

Good Dick (2008): Whilst the male video store assistants are typical of male video store assistants everywhere – her character has originality and glues the film together.
21 and Over (2013): Moronic – immature humour.
Gifted Hands (2009): Does well to avoid most of the sentimental traps. Great performance from Elise.The medical procedures are portrayed authentically.
Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby (TV Series) - Series 1 (2005): The format of a teacher passing on life experiences to students is great and has endless possibilities if used correctly. To be able to do it with humour is a gift.
Attack on Leningrad (2009): Uneven and not as good as a documentary treatment.
