Step Up 3 (Step Up 3-D) (2010): The space filling is crap but the dancing is terrific.
Gone in 60 Seconds (2000): Some good stunt work but the film does not stray from the formula.
Bates Motel (TV Series) (2013): Great idea but it doesn't really deliver anything out of the ordinary.
Resurrection (TV Series) (2014): Taking into account the strength of the material this is a pretty flat offering. Has set itself up for a second series.
Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933): A golden time for spectacular dance/musicals.
Illusionist, The (2006): Excellent production values but not a great deal comes out at the other end. A dead performance from Norton.
Last Samurai, The (2003): Cruise has problems with the acting part of his performance – it doesn't really matter as his character is ridiculous anyway.Timothy Spall is fine and so is the vegetation.An hour less would have helped.
Dallas Buyers Club (2013): A strong lead performance from Matthew I can't spell his name. A worthy dramatisation that avoids the traps.; DVD ~~$25~~ $18.75
Lara Croft - Tomb Raider (2001): Too much of it has been done before and done better.
Blood Ties (2013): An excellent cast spends all its time yelling at each other. Too long.; DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
