Beetle Bailey (1989): Should be a hit with the kids.
Harlan County War (2000): Holly H is terrific. By being slightly too long the film loses some of its impact
Three Musketeers, The (1973): Richard Lester at the helm, Spike Milligan and Roy Kinnear in the supporting cast sets the tone of the film (how could it be otherwise).; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Police Story 2 (1988): The Maggie/Jackie relationship is a bonus to the stunt work.
Blazing Saddles (1974): Brooks claims this to be the best comedy ever and Kahn the best comedienne. The opening railroad scene is memorable. Harvey Korman and Slim Pickens are great.Wonderfully racist and sexist.
Shanghai Noon (2000): The first half when Jackie is on his own is much the strongest.
Shallow Hal (2001): Its hard to see what the intentions of the film makers are – not a good choice of material.
A Few Good Men (1992): Story would have been better served by less star power. Cruise is out of his depth and poor.Unfortunately he's in most scenes.
Q & A (1990): Nolte relishes his role in this gritty thriller which contains some solid and well played characters. Too long however.
Harrison's Flowers (2000): The war scenes are confusing and done very well – the journalists end up looking ridiculous and out of place. The action scenes however lose their impact because they go on for too long.
