Love and a 45 (1994): It has little to recommend it and it has little that hasn't been done before.rn
Purple Rose of Cairo (1985): A good plot idea and production values. Mia spoke with a whine – I wonder where she got that from?
Flesh and Blood (1985): Unfortunately, it has an unnecessary and prolonged rape scene and therefore loses a *.
Sleepover (2004): A bit soppy toward the end but harmless otherwise.
Tár (Tar) (2022): The musical segments were interesting and informative.
Uproar (2023): It is a light comedy that mixes some historical elements. There are some good location shots of Dunedin.; DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
Angel-A (2005): Unfortunately, the screenplay falls away after a little bit over an hour but the scenes, where we have the bridge to ourselves, are memorable. The B&W is excellent and the relationship of the odd couple makes it worthwhile.
Igby Goes Down (2002): There are plenty of reasons not to like a number of the characters but the writing, the casting, and the performances see it through.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Adoration (2008): A well written screenplay but one that is not an easy one to follow. A second viewing for me will be of benefit.
Salute (2008): Excellent athletics coverage, and if a bit light on the racism in Australia, it has worthwhile coverage of the civil rights situation in 60s USA.
