Robot Dreams (2023): Should be a winner with families in particular. The soundtrack is well chosen, and well used.; DVD $29.95
Rare Birds (2001): An appealing screenplay with a message for the gullible.
Hustle (1975): The screenplay might qualify as anti hero.
Samurai Commando: Mission 1549 (2005): Great plot idea but the after a while I couldn't distinguish who was fighting who or what side a character was on. The characters also got a bit excited and started yelling at each other hysterically even though (I think) they were meant to be comrades.
American Gangster (2007): Never ending, but it has its good segments, although overall it has all been done before.
Breaking and Entering (2006): I thought it lost its way a touch toward the end but the writing was good in the main and the casting was excellent. Both Ray Winstone and Vera Farmiga did some scene stealing.
Wild Side (1995): Manic.
Man of the West (1958): Not your standard Western.
Catholic Boys (Heaven Help Us) (1985): Always interesting but the scenes with the psycho Brother were the best.
Children of the Corn (1984): Could have been influenced by "The Wicker Man" (1973).
