Message, The (Al-risalah Aka Mohammad, Messenger Of God) (1977): The action sequences are okay and not overdone but the total running time could be a challenge for a general viewing audience.
Shifty (2008): Its anti–drug message is enhanced because the characters are believable and there are no frills in the screenplay. Daniel Mays is compulsory viewing. The soundtrack is pretty good as well.
True Colours (1991): Hard to make this kind of character interesting I guess.
16 Years of Alcohol (2003): Made for the right reasons the screenplay veered between violence, and these segments got repetitive, and reform which lacked interest.
A Good Year (2006): A watchable time filler thanks mainly to the casting.
Next Best Thing, The (2000): It is more of a drama than a comedy (and is all the better for it) as it has a serious second theme.
Coriolanus (2011): There are some good performances from those who survive the killing.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
Stunt Rock (1978): A good combination of real life stunts and rock.; DVD $19.95
Point Blank (2010): The type of action the French do well but there is not a great deal else.
Cruise of the Gods (2002): The best bits concerned David Walliams. Philip Jackson lurking around in support was also good.; DVD $24.95
