Door in the Floor, The (2004): The characters were not very interesting.
Return to Me (2000): It is sop, but romantics might enjoy.
Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The (2015): No matter the strength of the screenplay the quality of the casting raises the level and the soundtrack is excellent.
Women on the 6th Floor, The (2011): The first half is okay but it then gets soppy and silly.; DVD $14.95
Wonder Boys (2000): The screenplay nearly works but it is not without interest throughout and is supported by a well chosen soundtrack.
Scarface (1983): It takes a while to tell the story. Compared to Paul Muni, Al looks like a spoilt schoolboy.
Scarface (1932): Still makes a mark 90+ years on.
Stick Up, The (2002): It didn't work for me even with James Spader but it could well appeal to others.
Hooper (1978): The screenplay is good in patches and never boring.
Don Juan DeMarco (1995): Despite the casting, the screenplay doesn't amount to much.
