Its insulting to women that they could be remotely interested in these immature male characters. To describe it as comedy (think Keaton, Milligan, Tati ) is insulting to the genre.
Dying undiscovered occurs so shock element reduced. Interviewees were unconvincing & could have been actors instead of real thing – not having her sisters lessened the point of the exercise. I don't find documentary dramas in general convincing as fact.
Had trouble following this – several scenes were shot in the dark which didn't help. Because Charlize is in it I'm sure it's okay and will try again with subtitles.
The comedy within the action sequences and the stunt work are very good but there is too much not happening in between even with the quality in Hopkins and Stuart Wilson.
The story telling takes its time which is not out of place with the time & setting. Some peaceful Irish scenery helps & the interior sets are spot on. The acting by Dench & Annette Crosby (I counted 2 half smiles including one on her birthday) is terrific.
Plot starts off fine but things get silly including Hoffman throwing his weight around and looking ridiculous. Rest of the talented cast are not bad although you get a bit tired of statements like "putting Americans at risk" or "saving American lives"
