The musical segments are good but you need to be patient as they are interspersed among the beatings and other activities of life. The story telling would have benefited from more conciseness although it certainly has energy.
Jason & Rebecca cleaning their teeth together is a dead give away that domestic bliss is about to be shattered. Watchable but at the end of the day the story doesn't offer a great deal that's new.
The glitter and extravagance is handled well although that side of things soon bored. Only real highlights are the performances of Hector Elizondo & John Rhys–Davies.
