2 stars (Good Try) If there are only 3 people left on earth you would think they would seize the opportunity to play darts and the chance to be world champion. Frustratingly instead they stuff around building a water wheel.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of TimePrince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)
2 stars (Good Try) Standard adventure film from Disney except maybe more violent than would be expected. Compulsory casting of Kingsley and Molina but it helps.
She's Funny That WayShe's Funny That Way (2015)
2 stars (Good Try) Light material but its not too long – Imogen and Jennifer are not too bad – Illeana Douglas only has a small part unfortunately.
Other Man, TheOther Man, The (2008)
2 stars (Good Try) A lead casting of Laura Linney and Liam Neeson warrants a better screenplay than the one on offer here.
Sin CitySin City (2005)Aro Favourite
3 stars (Good Enough) Still can't make up my mind after seeing it more than once but have given it the benefit of the doubt for at least being different. The voice over grates at times & its a bit overlong but I like the stylization.
DVD $20 $15
Gayby BabyGayby Baby (2015)
2 stars (Good Try) An interesting topic but the material is only mildly interesting – not too long though.
Narrow MarginNarrow Margin (1990)
2 stars (Good Try) The plot and acting are fine but with Hackman as bodyguard much of the suspense is taken out of the proceedings.
MoonrakerMoonraker (1979)Recommended
3 stars (Good Enough) Doesn't rate highly against other Bonds but compares well with Bond wannabe movies. It has its own Bond type moments nevertheless.
Start the Revolution Without MeStart the Revolution Without Me (1970)
4 stars (Very Good) Gags pile up on gag – if you don't like the first one you may not like the next. Not so usual for a comedy this one is funny. Sutherland & Wilder are excellent in dual roles & are more than ably assisted by a terrific troupe of British comedy actors.

3 stars (Good Enough) "Time Out" perfectly describe Nolte's character as shambling (he has a car to match) – his is also the perfect opposite to Murphy's character so as to create the sparks that drive the film. Again Frisco's streets provide the perfect setting.
