Manchurian Candidate, The (2004): Although you miss the black and white of the original this updated screenplay does have a better cast overall and is also able to do justice to the terrific plot scenario of the novel.
Towering Inferno, The (1974): Enjoyable because the screenplay could have more flaws than floors.
How I Live Now (2013): The screenplay is a little bit better than those that have a similar theme but admittedly this one boasts Saoirse Ronan as its lead performer.; DVD $29.95 | Blu-Ray $34.95
Saving Mr. Banks (2013): It doesn't quite succeed in telling both Travers's story and that of the making of the film but the production's values are good as is the performance of Emma T.
I Want To Go Home (1989): I couldn't get onto the same wavelength – perhaps another day.
How To Deter A Robber (2020): It is easy to watch and it falls into the category of "you could do a lot worse".
Hey Good Looking! (Comme t'y es belle!) (2006): Thanks for the compliment.
Melancholia (2011): Some passages linger a bit too long but the casting is a big plus. I always find Gainsbourg, Rampling, and Hurt compelling.
Camille Claudel, 1915 (2013): Although it could be said that the pacing moves as quickly as a work of sculpture it also reflects the time and place. Binoche excels without the aid of wardrobe trappings and a hairdo.
Brother (Brat) (1997): I like the economical running time brought about by slick editing and a to the point screenplay. Also, there are some great mundane indoor and outdoor ( a lot that are wet) shooting locations with a soundtrack that fits.
