Aka "Derby Dogs". An excellent opening sequence and although the basic plot idea that follows has been done a million times it has been freshened up quite well. Inoffensive and good natured.
Although it doesn't rate as well as "Paths of Glory" as far as courtroom dramatisations go its not too bad. The photography of the outside locations and the enactments are good with a cynical use of a military music score.
It doesn't quite have enough material for a full length film but its better than most sequels. The characters are still watchable and so are the desert locations.
A strange mix of adult violence and a "Boys Own" comic adventure. It gets a bit silly in parts. Louis Gossett Jr. and Denholm Elliott lend experience and stability to the performances.
