Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
The scenes prior to the battle where he is bullied for his beliefs are fine but the battle scenes are ruined by unnecessary slow motion shots which I find insulting to the intelligence. The final battle scene is utter Gibson commercial jingoistic crap.
Ledge, The (2011)
The screenplay didn't really go anywhere and you felt at times it (or he) needed a bit of a nudge.
House of Games (1987)
The early card playing scene was impressive – subsequently I thought the screenplay was a little contrived at times but its well worth watching.
[REC 2] (REC 2) (2009)
This sub–genre is overflowing with films so it needs to be pretty good or different to stand out. This one doesn't.
Ant Bully, The (2006)
Great entertainment especially from the ants with easy on the eye animation.
Miles Ahead (2015)
I assume this was made as a personal tribute by Don to Miles. It is watchable – needless to say the music is up there with the best.rn
Scorpio (1973)
The screenplay is competent enough without being special but the casting is worth a watch.
Around the World in 80 Days (2004)
Excellent set designs are one aspect of the good looking production values. The three leads work well off each other and are supported by a very good support cast headed by a terrific Jim Broadbent. Very entertaining.
Running with Scissors (2006)
Thunderball (1965)
It is good to go back to the early 007 films when the franchise was still fresh and see just how good they were.
