Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992): The screenplay doesn't stand out but the set designs, wardrobe and make–up are commendable.
Dancer (2016): There is plenty of home video footage which probably made it tempting to do a documentary. I am not interested in ballet but to rate it as a documentary I didn't find it too enthralling.
Moonlight (2016): Not too much new ground broken screenplay wise but if you have the patience it is worthwhile.
Uptown Girls (2003): It avoids the pitfalls most of the time and the two leads make it work.
Harry & Snowman (Harry and Snowman) (2016): A feel good documentary – there are some non equine segments in his story but its basically about his love of horses.
Blood and Chocolate (2007): There are no surprises or disappointments to be had – it provides what it promises.
She Hate Me (2004): It seems to try too hard and digs itself into a hole or two from which it takes ages for it to extract itself.
Battle In Seattle (2007): It includes perfectly good archival film so why bother with the dramatisation scenes and therefore water down the films credibility as to the portrayal of the truth?
Hitch-Hiker, The (1953): William Talman is perfectly cast as the threat. No expense is spared on the desert locations or car – but a saving is made on the barking dog which is heard but not seen as it is shot off screen. The simple screenplay has a commendable no frills ending.
Catch, The (2016): The screenplay and script are only average but there are some touristy location shots.
