Freaked (1993): This kind of comedy has been done a number of times and failed because of the fine line that exists. This one succeeds.
World Trade Center (2006): It was inevitable that as a true life disaster it had to be dramatised & commercialised – the temptation would have been too strong to resist.
Women, The (1939): There are one or two quieter moments (on reflection I think it was one) but this is a talkie of the best kind. There is enough material for two films. A tour de force comedic performance from Rosalind Russell shines out from even among a quality ensemble.
Hocus Pocus (1994): It is one of those films that is not great but very hard to dislike.
Hurricane, The (1999): The screenplay is stodgy at times but Denzel makes it worthwhile.
Sea of Trees, The (2015): It is hard work watching it – it does drag. The three talented leads try their best though and there is some good location shooting as some compensation.
Skeptics - Sheen of Gold (2013): I 'd never heard of them but the base line to their music is not too bad. The interviews are okay.
Queen of Ireland, The (2015): A reasonably entertaining and informative documentary.
Mangler, The (1995): Probably a bit overlong but the set design inside the factory is spot on. A good comedy horror.
Storyteller: Greek Myths, The (1990): An effective way of telling the story – aided by some top notch acting talent in Gambon and guests (Jacobi etc.)
